General Sessions – Open skating for practice, private or semi-private lessons.
Moves-In-The-Field, Dance and Power sessions are also available during the season.
Learn to Skate Freeskate Program – The Learn to Skate Freeskate Program, formally known as the The Bridge Program is designed to teach skating skills at a faster pace in a group lesson environment. It is for skaters at a higher Basic Skills level looking to become more invested in the sport of figure skating. Lessons will focus on Proper stretching techniques, warm up and cool down, stroking, edges and power skating, introductory moves in the field, ice dance, jumps, spins beginning choreography and style. Off ice topics may be included.
Moves in the Field Group – Designed for those beginning moves in the field or introducing new elements in other levels. Focus will be on posture, power, flow, edge quality, extension, turns, steps, etc.
Dance Group - Designed for those beginning ice dancing with the introduction of music, steps and patterns of dances. Focus will be on developing timing, edges, expression and proper posture.
A vest is supplied to the skater whose program is being played. The skater wearing this vest has the right of way. All skaters must yield to this skater & be courteous both on & off the ice as they abide by the rules provided by the PFSC. Reckless skating is prohibited.
PFSC will cancel sessions if no rink monitor is present with any refunds.Please volunteer. We need monitors on all sessions! We may cancel a session due to low enrollment if necessary.
